When the protagonist sets out to fulfill her New Year's resolution to get in shape, in many ways she's trying to outrun the negativity in her life, only to find, that negativity can ratchet up to a level that gives her a whole new perspective. Not only does she learn that things can get worse in the blink of an eye, but through the experience she finds that all the ones who are out running or walking on the same route every day, are dealing with severe problems themselves.Scarborough takes you inside the heart of the story in a fast paced, first person read, that leaves you feeling as though you've run in the heroine's shoes. straight into her assailant's arms, right along with her.

Strangers and friends By WVDimpleDoll I enjoyed this short story ( I have ALWAYS been a fan of the short story genre of writing), the author manages to develop full characters in a short period of time and I liked her light hearted internal banter (reminds me of myself !); I can relate to getting to know the strangers in your life,having lived in the same neighborhood for 30 yrs and knowing most the neighbors around me, it wasn't until I started walking my most recent dogthat I met the neighbors "up the road" and became acquainted with them, to the point we knew who was "missing" on the rounds.I think anyone would enjoy this little walk into the unknown. Enjoy.

Price This is an interesting little short story where a woman is reaching her later years and realizes she misses the whistles she used to get. She begins going on walks everyday and it desperate for people to notice her. She feels invisible. The problem? The wrong person notices her and the story takes a complete turn. Full of tension and a fun read.
