I enjoyed reading until I came to the end and found myself hung out to dry. The biggest question in the whole story was left unanswered with the obvious intent to coax readers into buying the next book to find the answers. If you want me to buy your books, Miss Ava, finish what you start in each one.
26 of 29 people found the following review helpful. Rich People Drama By akornroach Rye has a bad boy image that he loves. Tory has worked her butt off to keep from drowning in debt. When Rye's sponsors begin to drop him because of actions he decides that Tory's girl next door image will be perfect to help his image. So he hires her as his personal cook during his tour.I'm torn between a 3 or 4 star for this book. It is sweet and cute. You see Rye change and grow over the time that he spends with Tory. My problem with the story is that it went from bad boy star meets down home girl to..... emotional unbalanced country star drags his cook along because he cant face the family that disowned him on his own. The story changes to become very much about his relationship with his family. I was left with the feeling that he didn't really care about Tory, he just wanted her as a crutch to hold him up. I'm sure all his sisters drama is brought into his book to introduce the reader to the characters because they will have books about them later. But it left me not really caring about the main story. And in honesty it was his sister Tammy that kept me reading the book. If there is a book about her later I might read it.

You can go home again By Mary Gramlich Rye Crenshaw is a man living a fabulous present, working through his miserable past with no idea who he really is. His success in the country music business has brought him fame, money, and complete loneliness without the blue-blood family that threw him out when he made his own life decision. When the opportunity to do a right after too many wrongs presents itself Rye grabs it and hires Tory, a small town cook with chef qualities. Tory is struggling to make any ends meet so the offer to be Rye’s personal tour cook is an offer she grabs at with both pancake flipping hands.Tory cooks for the pleasure of it and has a magic touch when creating her culinary masterpieces which please Rye on every level. Rye says they are friends and no attraction be advised but following his own rules is proving to be harder than expected when Tory’s kind heart and wonderful ability to listen melts his heart. Tory is providing Rye with the acceptance that chasing your dreams is not wrong and having her near brings him a calm he never felt before. The problems start when they go back to Rye’s family to settle old wounds and she sees for herself the chaos of living a perfect life. Rye went against expectations but trying to help his sisters do the same may prove to create a larger divide than even he can bear. Tory stands by his side and when she begins to warm his heart and bed it seems no problem is too large that they cannot handle together.However, when unacceptable leaks to the press about personal things Rye never wanted revealed are exposed the fingers all point to Tory and without trust they have no relationship.
