Review The gritty realism of the psychological human drama Waters of Separation by Carol McClain held me mesmerized until the last page. So often Christian literature is full of fluff and clichés. Not so with Waters of Separation. Life is layered with complexity, darkness and light. So too is this brave novel of a young woman haunted by her childhood memory of the deaths of her mother and sisters and her present-day life as a medical missionary in Africa, a continent as dark as it has always been. Bravo to Carol McClain for her brilliant, novel brimming with intelligence.Christine Lindsey.Award-winning author of TheTwilightof the Raj series..

For Readers Who Prefer Depth By Christine Lindsay, Multi-Award-Winning Author of Christian Fiction Waters of Separation is one of those books that not only entertains you but takes you away to another spot in the world that is swathed in beauty and heartache. It took me on a gripping emotional ride, and I came to care deeply about the characters, especially Anna Haas as she cares for her African patients. This braided journey of past and present takes Anna on a journey back to her own painful loss. The author also used a deft hand to tell the terribly and sad plight of people still being used in slavery today. But hope is stamped on every page. This book is not a downer, but uplifts. The medical details are brilliantly woven in to this thriller. While this novel is a real page turner, it is also for readers who prefer a book that makes them think, and who enjoy novels of deep psychological and spiritual truth. I would not recommend this book to anyone younger than 16 but I do highly recommend it to all ages above and to male and female readers.I was given this book free for my honest review.

While we live our idealistic lives in the U.S., it takes you to the land of slavery and hardships people live with while working in the cacoa fields while being under the threats of men with guns and dealing with the constant threat of bandits. Carol gets you involved with each character and keeps you involved from start to finish. Good read!

By Linda Rondeau Waters of Separation The reader will go on a journey from the heroine's girlhood to the final resolution. An incident at cocoa farm triggers a post traumatic event for a pregnant missionary physician's assistance. The author tells a gripping story as we revisit Anna's childhood and near death at her mother's hand. It kept me glued to the page from start to finish.
