Loved the MC in the story – Charlie & Ava . Their love story is forbidden yet it is true love. You ask why forbidden—well When they met Charlie was 28 yo and was living in Peru, working in the remote areas, and he was finally doing what he needed to do to fulfill his true life mission –to be a priest. He has taken vows and has been completely celibate for the last 5 years. Until now-until he met her---Twenty five year old Ava Abrams is working with Doctors Without Borders in the remote regions of Peru and she comes across Father Charles McArthur who is very handsome and has a wonderful way about him. The two instantly click and there is a chemistry between them. Ava was raised Catholic but she never really was raised in the church. The two start to bond and develop a close friendship. Soon, that close friendship is not something Ava wants-she wants more than that and Charles doesn’t know if he can quit being a priest. After a mind blowing sexual experience, Ava lets Charles go and then a life changing experience happens to Ava—will she ever tell Charles or will these two be like ships passing in the night? Will Charlie ever want to give up the collar and be the one for Ava? This story was so good, I hated to put it down and the ending was so satisfying. It was deliciously sweet and tasty. Charlie was such a sensitive hero –he didn’t want to do anything to hurt anyone. In reading this story, he tried to do right by everyone , but he never thought about himself .And Ava, wow, she is sassy yet all protective over her loved ones.; just get the tissues handy because there are some scenes that will make you tear up in a good way. We , as the readers, get to see their story in alternating POV first person flashback and in real time. It helps to see what the MC are feeling/thinking.*A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review*My rating: 4.8 stars *****
