About the Author Allison Williford is a Women's Fiction author, blogger, and owner of The Sentranced Writer, a blog dedicated to helping other writers.

The book doesn't start out like a typical romance, and it stays that way. Adam isn't our typical Harlequin guy; he's ruggedly charming rather than typically charming, and not even typically ruggedly charming, if that makes sense. The characters have relationship development points not found in every romance novel, and that's a nice thing.Another thing I enjoyed about this book is that it's very contemporary. It's very modern, with modern issues and we see a lot of the elements of our world reflected in it, whether it's pop culture references or the twenty-first century way that the characters act, and interact.This is a minor thing, but I also really enjoyed the title drops of the chapter titles and book title, which just added another element that made the book all seem to tie together, even into its titles. It made it seem... quaint? In any case, it caught my attention, and I enjoyed it.This book doesn't just show romantic relationships, though. It also shows platonic relationships between woman that span from love to hatred. The love relationships are quite enjoyable to read, whether they're the ones between friends or mother and daughter -- a key element of the book. The hate relationships struck me as a bit superficial, but sometimes we all have superficial relationships, so there was an element of realism that, while not a particular favorite part of the book to read, added another element of our world.The same applies to the men/women relationships in the book that seem a bit typical in the antagonistic department, but the good thing about all of these is: there are multiple heroes, and multiple "villains". Which is a nice change from the one-hero-one-villain setup.The premise of the book itself is one that might sound familiar from others, but the book offers several twists on the story, like a modern re-telling of a fairy tale, which makes it enjoyable. It doesn't strike you as a book you've read before, but it does offer a comforting familiarity.A great part of this book, though, is that it's a nice, quick, easy read. As far as pace and language go, the book lulls you along while not letting you get bored. Everything is easy to picture, with very good descriptions that pull you in and let you not realize just how much you've read. Perhaps a good book for someone who's not typically a reader? As well as someone who's a book lover.So basically, if this sounds like a book you'd enjoy, check out Waiting for You!
