Great Read for a Rainy Day By Kame Grant Hollings and Carol Anne Brewster met in Washington D.C. when Grant was at the beginning of his law career and Carol was an aspiring actress. Their love affair burned hot until Carol Anne left for LA and her first film role. They loved each other deeply but neither was willing to make the changes in their life necessary for forever. Seven years later separate circumstances bring them both to NYC, Grant moves to the NYC office to keep his daughter safe from a photographer that seems to be stalking her, and Carol Anne relocates to NYC to take a part on Broadway. They have not spoken in five years. Their attraction and chemistry was still there, but can they get their lives in order to have a second chance?Grant is a great character; I loved how his character is such a caring and nurturing Dad. Most of the focus outside of his relationship with Carol Anne is on how he is as a father. There are times I wondered if he learned anything from his past, but in the end he did redeem himself. Carol Anne is a sought after actress and as the book progressed she grows as a strong character, she seems more aware of the decisions that need to be made and read as the more rational character who was trying to make the best decision for all involved so that years of heartbreak would not happen again.This is the third book in the Hollywood Hearts series, and in my opinion the best plot. The plot had twists and a few turns, with some flashbacks to allow you to understand what happened at key points in their seven years apart. There is an intense scene at the end of the book that involves Grant's daughter, while slightly uncomfortable to read is crucial to the plot. Secondary characters are fantastically written and some are repeat characters from previous books; there is even a secondary romance. Intimate scenes between Grant and Carol Anne are on the low end of the steamy more sensual.This is a great easy read; I read it easily on a rainy afternoon. It can be read as a standalone as there is no intricate connection to the other Hollywood Hearts books except for NYC and a few characters from previous books whose background is not crucial to the plot. One interesting part of the Hollywood Hearts series is the epilogue is not a traditional one where its primary focus is to let the reader see into the characters HEA, Ms. Joachim writes her epilogues as just a quick 2 minute glimpse into the next book with the help of the current couple, and that glimpse has peeked my interest and I will be on the lookout for her fourth book in the series.I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

You had me so far into the world of Grant, Cara and Sarah I couldn't put the book down. Grant living in his world of hell for seven years thinking and not believing broke my heart. Cara living with her mistake never believing in herself. You made their dreams come true. Keep writing... a must read.
